Description

To mark International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation on the 6th of February, the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine's MARCH Centre (Maternal, Adolescent, Reproductive and Child Health), in association with FORWARD (Foundation for Women's Health and Research), will be hosting a meeting.

The meeting will discuss how the research community can support efforts to eliminate Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and support women and girls who have been affected.

FORWARD was founded by women of the African Diaspora and have been working on eliminating the practice both in the UK and internationally for over three decades. They run a number of projects working in UK, Europe and Africa to safeguard girls at risk of FGM and support women affected. For more info, visit their website.
